Abstract

|
|
A 28 year-old woman presented with anemia, jaundice and splenomegaly and was found to have hereditary spherocytosis.
All the living members of 3 generations in her family(father, two brothers, one son and one daughter) were also studied and all were found to have hereditary spherocytosis.
The patient underwent splenectomy and marked improvement was observed in clinical and laboratory findings.
